Great appraiser with awesome knowledge of the market.
I was really reluctant after reading the previous reviews when we found out they had been assigned our appraisal. After everything was done the process went smoothly and quickly with the appraisal. The appraisal was professionally done, the only improvement I would suggest would be a little better with the communication. Our appraiser had to change the day of our scheduled appointment due to a blizzard, no problem. She called early the day of and requested to do it the next day, awesome. Very rude, very low appraisals ,asked how much I paid and how much for improvements and that was the number he came up with. Even though the house across the street sold for 3 times more, he obviously didn't do his research at all and just took my figures. Used comps from 25 miles away regardless that Ithere are a ton of sales in the same town.. Took forever and caused my loan to have to be re locked. Not sure how he is still in business.
If I could give zero stars I would. I honestly question if he has a clue as to what he is doing or how properties are actually supposed to be appraised. I had two very similar ramblers on my street that recently sold. Instead of using them as comps he went across town to a totally different neighborhood and found houses on busy streets (I live on a golf course). Appraised me six figures less than the two comps on my street. When asked why he did that he said "well the houses next to you just sold for so much more than yours ... read more
