I would not recommend Dr. Harandi to anyone. He is incompetent and lacking, in judgment and good sense. My wife went to him for hip joint problems, in a lot of pain. She had surgery on the hip 2 years earlier at UVA and was Dr. Harandi was aware of it. The joint was increasing in pain, he said surgery could be possible but down the road and she would have to lose weight before he would consider it. He wanted her to exercise and do 40 squats a day. Dr. Harandi is the best knee and hip surgeon I know. He has successfully replaced both of my knees and hips, 4 joints in total over the last 10 years with great results. As a result of my success, I have personally referred him to over ten people here in Culpeper. All feedback reports from referrals have been positive on their outcomes. It was determined I tore my rotator cuff in fact two of them. He scheduled surgery, and it went great. As great as a surgical procedure can go. He came in before and after surgery and I spoke to him at both post op follow up. He has a great patient demeanor and gave great feedback on my questions. I have almost 100% return to mobility after just 3 months of recovery and the rest will come with exercise. I am very pleased with my doctor and the staff at UVA absolutely top notch.
Dr Harandi has taken wonderful care of me 2x recently. A knee replacement, and now a shoulder repair. Both surgeries went very well. He offered his and his office assistance at any point and continues with these sentiments. Very encouraging and encouraged the correct Physical therapy as needed.
