The place my Mom goes used to be Aveda, now it's HearingLife. Went for a hearing test as Mom hadn't had one for two years, has had hearing aids for 6 years. They did the test, then passed us off to someone else to interpret the results. Avada never did that. i knew something was up. Long story short, the person we were passed to felt like a very hard sales person. She put brand new hearing aids in Mom's ears so she could hear with the latest and greateds, and said she has grown out of the old ones. Said we needed to pay $600... read more

Business response:

It is not uncommon to have 2 providers assisting 1 patient. Thinking in medical fields we often see a nurse then are turned over to a doctor. In our clinics it is common that a provider completes the testing and another reviews results with the patient. We also like to offer and discuss new technology when a patient has hearing aids over 4 years old. In this situation, the patient has 6 year old hearing aids and it is our belief that a patient would hear better with new technology. We always do a functional test measure and ... read more

Having difficulty hearing with an ill fitting new aid , I was remeasured & told that a replacement would be delivered in 2 weeks. That was Mid October 2021**** it is now the end of January 2022 & they have cancelled 3 times and still can't give me an appointment ! **** One excuse after another ! I had to leave a star rating... but there is no place to leave a 0 star !!!!!

Business response:

Due to a local power outage on October 29, 2021 our HearingLife office was out of service for 3 days. The patient was seen on Nov 2, 2021 when the clinic reopened and on Nov. 23, 2021 molds were ordered for him. On Dec. 17, 2021 the patient was contacted to schedule his next appointment. Due to our closure, the clinic was behind schedule and the next available appointment was 1/24/22. Patient was put on a waiting list to be called if we had any cancelations. The patient was seen for their set appointment on 1/21/22.

I wish I could give Hearing Life in ******* a no-star rating. They sold my 90 year old mother who can't see a 1/4" hearing aid that even a 20 year old would find difficult to handle. It was extremely expensive and she lost it every month.

Business response:

Patient originally purchased hearing aid from previous owners, ***** Hearing, in 2019. This was not a purchase from HearingLife. Upon acquiring ***** Hearing, HearingLife strived to assist the patient with their hearing aids to the best of their ability. Original purchase of hearing aid set was returned for single ear hearing aid, at which point our Provider suggested a different brand and fit. Patient refused suggestion and kept one original hearing aid. Patient lost the hearing aids in November of 2021 and HearingLife prov... read more

Run, run away as fast as you can! This company is a scam. I purchase a hearing aid 4 years ago and it never worked. They just wear you out with numerous appointments. Never keep their word. Dont waste your money. Go to ****** hearing center. You can buy the same hearing aids for half the price.

Business response:

Our mission is to help people hear better. We work hard to follow up and make sure that each patient is hearing better and satisfied. We also desire to meet every budget with our prices so that we can help as many people as possible hear to their best potential. It sounds like in your case we may have missed that ****. Please dont hesitate to visit one of our clinics in the future. We would love another chance to help you.

This organization values only profit and is not concerned re safety. In *****, *****, one of the least vaccinated *********************, the receptionist does not wear a mask. When I called to report this concern three weeks ago, I was told a supervisor would call me back. No one ever called back. Hearing aid providers serve primarily elderly patients, many of whom are immunocompromised. It is inexcusable during this pandemic that the staff at HearLife does not value their patients.

I bought a sets from them also paid in full. Unexpectedly, when I ask for their Tax ID on my insurance behalf. They are not willing to give. This was in November 2021. as of today, I'm still waiting for their reply. I'm a senior I wish someone could help to resolve this huge problem of mine. So I can get a partial of my payments back from my insurance company. Have a bit of a heart will you "HearingLife" please!

Business response:

HearingLife offices are not allowed to give out that information to patients. HearingLife's insurance department has reached out to help her with the information she requires.

I will never use this company again. I had seen them once in the ******, ** office and was very pleased. Then I had another appointment, which I had to cancel due to illness. When I have any type of coughing or other things going on, no temperature, I will not go anywhere to spread germs especially with all the Covid running rapid. Anyway, Their customer service people kept calling me to make an appointment again. This time it was pure harassment. If I did not answer the phone, they would hang up and immediately call again. ... read more

Business response:

We are sorry for the inconvenience of the calls. We will let the manager of the Patient Support Center know that calls are not welcome anymore. If the patient needs any assistance, she will reach out to HearingLife location directly or the office will call her directly.

Took my husband to Hearing Life in ***********, ** yesterday to have a tube replaced in his hearing aid (which we bought from AccuQest Hearing Center). Found out the business is now called Hearing Life and our specialist Chance Black was replaced with *******************, The customer service was horrible. We waited 25 minutes in the reception area. The receptionist wanted to replace the tube but said she could not find the right size. ******************* changed the tube, which was the wrong size, which we told him. He said... read more
