Benjamin did an amazing job. I told him my budget and he drew me up something awesome for the price. He made my experience very comfortable and was super friendly. Definitely coming back!
I've gotten work done at tons of shops in KC, but hadn't visited A-1 until my favorite artist, Ben Carlson, joined them. I went in on Sunday, and was really impressed. It's a clean shop, big enough to house a nice variety of artists, not so big that they lose the intimacy that makes a place comfortable. Walked into A1 for the first time yesterday and talked to Josh. He sat down and showed me some of his tattoos he had done. I gave him some of my ideas and let me know which ones he didn't feel comfortable doing and which ones he did. He took one of my ideas and went to work on it right away. I couldn't believe how awesome it turned out. Great guys and clean area. Highly recommended.
The place might not be a bad place to go but you got to watch who does your tattoo cause not all are as good as they think!
Professional, talented and efficient. Had multiple tats and piercings done here and every one has been a fantastic (and clean) experience. Added bonus: experienced staff that are always willing to help with aftercare and any maintenance concerns via calls or drop ins.
