I rented a Nissan Versa with 92k miles that became completely inoperable and required a tow. When I called for help, the agent was incredibly disrespectful, hung up on me, and told me to "tow it myself." Eventually, they provided a replacement (88k miles), but it was also poorly maintained. The tire pressure was dangerously low at 22 PSI, even the mechanic told me it should be at 32 PSI, and the window motor failed the following day. The Maui call center guy is having a mental break. Freaking out on the phone screaming at people, no patience to even listen to an explanation or even for me to finish my request. This dude didn’t even let us finish what we were trying to ask him if he could do without him losing his mind screaming at everybody and hanging up. Went there in June 2025 thinking it was Economy Rental (read the fine print, folks). Absolute scam artists. Took forever to get a car. They brought out a dirty, junky old van. My gut feeling was no way, so I gave the car back and took an uber to Enterprise. This place was so slimy. The bald guy thinks he is a smoothe talker, but he screams con man a mile away.

Had to find my insurance coverage/declarations though which was annoying, so be sure to have that handy if you don't want to buy extra insurance. Otherwise pickup and return was easy, including their airport shuttle service. Vehicle was a 100k miles Corolla but it had the backup camera and had no issues w/it, and good value for the price. In comparison, I rented a nicer vehicle at Hertz by the airport the prior week, but it took an hour after pickup time before it was actually ready.

Avoid this place at all costs!!!! Worth spending the extra money while you're in hawaii! They are scammers! First, the rental place isn't even in the airport you need to take a shuttle. Second, they take about 30 minutes to give you a car because theres only 1 employee at a time. Third, they give you an old car with over 100k miles and in terrible condition and smells bad. Lastly, they will CHARGE you a $78.54 fee for ANY sand in the car. Thats right! If your car is not impeccable inside, they will charge you a fee days late... read more
