Complaints? Hello, I have been to a large number of aquarium / fish shops within the metro and beyond. Recently I went to A World of Fish with a friend who has been in the aquarium hobby for more than 15 years. He told me that it is one of the best aquarium shops in MN. Upon reading most of the negative posts regarding this store, I was shocked. I've never been to a store that had healthier looking fish, cleaner tanks, and healthier aquatic plants. A World of Fish, has quite a few varieties of fresh water invertebrates and f... read more

World Of Fish We made the trek to World of Fish for years. Having gotten out of keeping up a tank for the last 6 years because of a move, we quit going. We remember it being a really well run, helpful, professional business. Now we are back into the tank again. Purchased a 350 Magnum system 9/15/11 , we have spent the last week shutting down ponds and getting this up and running for Koi. After reading the reviews on this site, I have resigned myself to the fact they will NOT be returning my call with questions on one bio fil... read more

No responsibility!! At first I was extremely excited about the amount of fish in the shop. However after bringing home 4 blue rams, I was completely dissatified with our experience. We have a 45 gallon tank with dwarf guoramis, 2 pearls, a school of fish and a clown loche, we also have 3 bottom feeders. All but one ram has died. as well as one of the pearls that we had for 4 months, no disease was in the tank. When I brought the 3 rams back, I was told they would not do anything for me on the pearl as it was not originally p... read more

What is the correct answer? I had heard that this is a great place to visit. However my experience with them was not what I was hoping it would be. I was looking into adding discus fish to my aquarium. When I asked about these beautiful fish they immediately stated that these were not for a general home aquarium. They stated that I needed to be serious about these because of the demanding commitment. They also added you do not place them with angels. I was almost convinced that I would not be able to own one of these proud b... read more

Potential to be great but they ignore you. I like the variety of fish and occasional good deals if you join their club, but the customer service is extremely lacking. Generally, you never get greeted or even acknowledged while you are in this store, and I have stood around for 30 minutes waiting to give them a lot of money, and been ignored. They try not to make eye contact with you so you can't ask them for help when they are free.

Hard to get service, fish kept dying. The store has a good selection, the staff is knowlegable. However the service isn't as good as other aquarium stores in the area. It is hard to get someone to help. Where other stores they ask you immediately when you walk in. We bought 4 clown loaches from them and they repeatedly kept dying. They tested our water for us and it was good. We kept bringing back the dead ones and out of 12 fish only 1 lived. Later I bought 3 clown loaches from a chain store that starts with p and ends with... read more

Peak hours are a bad time to go. I love this place. I sometimes go and spend an hour just wandering around and dreaming of possibilities. I went on a Saturday last time and it was surprising not busy. I had every single employee come up as ask if I needed help. Since I only planned on looking around I didn't mind going on a saturday but was still pleasantly surprised at the over flow of help. I went in with an algae problem and was offered pleco's and cory's. I explained what caused the algae what it looked like and that I h... read more
