The skill set of the practitioner!
Megan McCarthy is an amazing practitioner, who listened to HOW I'd injured my quads bilaterally 6 years ago and what had been done in terms of surgery and treatment, before examining me carefully and deciding WHICH brace to try in order to reduce my pain! She then measure me carefully and ordered a pair of ActionReliever 3-D printed braces made by Thuasne, which IMMEDIATELY reduced the pain after I put them on and she adjusted them. EXCELLENT bedside manner and follow-through!
This was our first experience with orthotics. Megan took the time to make sure out granddaughter had the right fit. And that we had all the information we needed workout overwhelmingly us. A Step Forward really cares about us.

My tween daughter has a scoliosis brace, which was a rough idea to adjust to, but after our first appointment with A Step Forward she felt so much more at ease. I love that Megan talks to her, not just me, and really cares what she has to say. She works to make my daughter comfortable, and gives her practical advice. I've heard a lot of orthotist horror stories, and I went in expecting conflict, but it's been easy and patient and attentive and kind, I can't imagine better care.
