Jinkie showed great care when she pointed out that my lamps needed rewiring. I went to the store to get shades for my solid wood mid-century lamps not knowing they might be a fire hazard. Not only did I get them rewired, the electrician polished them to look like new. Jinkie spent almost an hour with me finding the correct shades at a reasonable price. I definitely recommend them for the level of service and concern for safety.
I visited this wonderfull place with a tremendous selection of lampshades, fans lamps, etc... Mrs Jinkie, made me feel welcome, super friendly, not pushy but not ignoring you either, great information, friendly, great energy!! Worth visiting this place. You will find what you need.
Great local store that sells high quality lamp shades and lighting. The owner, Jinkie, is lovely. The wife and I will definitely be going back for future lighting needs. I've given up ordering lighting online as you don't get to see the product and the quality is generally not good.
I purchased an old lamp at an estate sale, and needed a new shade and finial. I stopped in A Shade Above, and was so pleased and surprised by the wonderful service I received! The owner, Jinkie was extremely helpful! When you need ‘anything lighting’, the only place you need to go is …’A Shade Above’!
It is an interesting store The prices are too high and there's no organization I suggest all pendant type lightings being one spot chandeliers being another large ones being in another otherwise you need to walk all over the place and it gets too confusing and I took a brows at the shades and they're way overpriced
