Our interactions with Associate Prof David Rees were unfortunately disappointing. On the topic of not for resuscitation orders for my mother, he demanded an answer after I said I would speak to my brother about the issue (He also mentioned this in an initial consultation 3 months prior). He then launched into 2 hypothetical clinical situations, then looked blankly at this computer screen and told us to leave and that he no longer wanted to care for my mum and terminated the consultation.
Words cannot adequately express how grateful I am to Professor David Rees, for the care and dedication he showed me as a patient. He was very thorough and did every test possible to find what was wrong with me. I feel very blessed to have him as my cardiologist.
