Dana was incredibly helpful in designing and facilitating the install of our school's greenhouse. She consulted with me extensively about the different design choices she was making and our entire school was super pleased with the functional and beautiful end result. Several years after the greenhouse was installed, vandals broke several of our windows. I reached out to Dana for help and she had her contractor fix the damage. I highly recommend A place to grow.

Business response:

Thank you Christian for your kind words, we truly enjoyed working with you to bring this beautiful greenhouse to your school program! I hope the children have many years of happiness learning about gardening in their "Place to Grow"!!

Dana and her team are the most professional, friendly, conscientious and hard-working crews we've ever worked with. From the first design meeting to the final touches on the installation, every step of the way was enjoyable, communicative and productive and we now have a beautiful outdoor living space that has enhanced both our home and our lives. She took our idea and made it better than we could have dreamed; we highly recommend Dana and her team at A Place to Grow to make your outdoor "sacred space" become a reality. .

Business response:

Thank you Anna for your kind words, we absolutely loved working with you both to make your vision come to life! Using your beautiful Tiffany stained glass window that you got as a wedding gift made your shed a true work of art and added that beautiful sentimental touch! Thank you for for allowing us to co-create your sacred space with you.

Working with A Place to Grow was awesome. I got exactly what I wanted, a studio for my sewing. When the French doors are open I feel as if I'm sitting in my garden sewing. Great people, great design, awesome product.

Business response:

Thank you so much for your kind words. We loved working with you to design a space that would add to your sewing experience!

A Place To Grow are locally owned and operated out of San Luis Obispo, CA. They are professional and friendly to work with and they own the lumber yard next door. They built my "she shed" from reclaimed wood and stained glass windows. The quality of workmanship is 5 star and every one of their projects is unique. Dana will personally walk the location with you, listen to your vision and get to work creating a one-of-a-kind sanctuary that brings the WOW factor to any space.

Business response:

Thank you Donna for your kind words! Your project was uniquely fun as we had all of your beautiful stained glass windows and doors to incorporate into your structure creating a true work of art! Your design input was key to the outcome of your structure!

Dana & her team are professionals all the way, from conception of our project to the final installation. Their use of recycled materials is exactly what we were looking for, and the quality of the finished product was much more than we expected...high end materials combined with creative workmanship. Customer service was top notch - always answered our calls & emails in a timely manner. These folks went out of their way to ensure that our project not only met, but exceeded what we were able to afford. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.!!

Business response:

Thanks Becky, we thoroughly enjoyed the entire process of working with you and your team to make your greenhouse a reality. Now you have your "place to grow"!

Purchasing my shed from Dana, her company A Place to Grow was one of the nicest experiences I have ever had. Dana is accommodating, friendly, kind, flexible. Nothing but the best I was treated like a queen. Every day I sit in my cottage and feel loved knowing that Dana was amazing in every possible way. The quality ingenuity was and remains tops.

Business response:

Anne, you are so sweet and so deserving to be treated like a queen, we absolutely loved working with you!

I met Dana and Sean O'Brien at a Home Show where they were exhibiting one of their "SHE SHEDS." They definitely stood out from the crowd of exhibitors. They understood the importance of customizing a product that fits the individual's unique personality. A follow-up visit to their workshop was totally amazing, with a potpourri of recycled building materials to choose from: doors, windows, galvanized metal, lumber, stained glass and outdoor accessories. Besides having one of their fantastic "lifestyle spaces," I am now talkin... read more

Our good friends ordered a beautiful outdoor office shed that turns into a fun bar when needed. It's awesome! So, when I needed a unique, small gardening shed for my own backyard I made an inquiry with Dana from A Place to Grow. Now I have my own shed that is exactly what I was hoping for! I went with the live-edge option on all sides, I'm very happy with it, it's unusual and beautiful and very well constructed. Dana was very mindful of my budget, there were no surprises for me. Every step along the way has been nothing less... read more
