1. Defective product (water softener broke after a year) 2. Deceptive and useless warranty (only covered parts that my husband and I had to replace ourselves which took hours of frustration and ultimately was unsuccessful) 3. Hit or miss customer service (got passed around until we talked to a supervisor named Keith who kept repeating the same line over and over again—making us feel like idiots—and was clearly unwilling to offer anything other than parts that we would have to install ourselves again) Do not recommend.

I bought a AO Smith hot water heater, I couldn't get the Anode rod out, I spent 5 hrs, and finally had to go borrow a super powerful impact gun from a friend at 10pm that finally broke it loose, the rod was bent, I called the number that was on the paperwork, and spoke to a very rude, belligerent person in tech support named Mike. He said that AO smith does not insure that the Anode rod is sound and told me that I was on my own to try to fix the problem. We called customer service today and the call was received by Ty. Ty was disrespectful and lacked basic customer service skills necessary for his position. His tone and language indicated that he was discriminating my family member based on her not being fluent in the English language. Entitlement is not necessary in the customer service field. As a driver this place is hit and miss. Some people are polite and efficient +guard shack)others are just flat out rude and disrespectful (distribution check in)
