AL is one of these mechanics who is worth his weight in gold. Small shop, family owned, dirty hands and honest! I've been using him for over 10 years. He does great work and doesn't charge you for things you don't need. Often not charging for small things like fuses or light bulbs- they THAT at a dealership! He knows his customers and is always cheerful and attentive. A & M Auto is one of the best kept secrets in New Milford!
I first went to A & M in 2003 to replace a bad starter in my ford van. All the places in town said I needed a new starter for around $300. to $400. Al fixed it for $30. It was just a loose wire that he soldiered. There's a lot of mechanics out there that can repair autos but, to find one that is honest is a rarity. Al is one of the most honest people I have ever met, he will go fare out of his way to give you the best service and the best price he can. Once you have work done by Al, you will spend a great deal of time wondering why more businesses don't follow in his foot steps. Al has always been able to fit me in, even if it's at the last minute, and I don't ever worry that he maybe charging me for un-needed work. Thanks Al for running such a respectable business.
