25 years ago we lost our first dog, Angie and we made the mistake of waiting too long and we had to rush her to the vet so that we could help her pass on. Our second dog made the choice for us when he became riddled with cancer and again he ended up spending his last hours at the vet. My husband and I have been blessed by A Gentle Farewell twice now. This second time, Dr. Sarah was so understanding and compassionate. As heartbreaking as this decision was, she made it bearable. Even thou we are retired and on a fixed income, having our beloved pet pass gently in our home and in our arms is the most comforting to us. We had to put our beloved 15 yo jack russel terrier down. She always had anxiety issues and was frightened going to the vets. We wanted her passing to be peaceful, filled with love and dignity.
