Mother’s Day Work of Art! I want to include a special thank you to Lillian at A Designer’s Touch for this Mother’s Day statement piece. I gave her complete creative license, only specifying the extreme height and the inclusion of my mother’s favorite yellow roses. I think the phrase ‘spectacular fabulousness’ was thrown around as another essential. I was very disappointed in the "dish garden" that I ordered for a very dear Aunt. This was for my Uncle's funeral. What arrived was 3 Easterish type baskets wired together. In one was an orchid that was improperly staked. Each of the other two baskets had very small plants (with the price tag of $5.95 on the bottom of one) and Spanish moss around them. They weren't even in any kind of a pretty pot. Just like you get from Lowes in the plastic container. It was horrifying to think that cost $80! It looked like $30 tops and not... read more
