Both of my parents were residents at A Country Place: dad for about 5 months until he died, and mom for almost 6 years. The smaller, more intimate facility (max 24 residents) allows the staff to have better attention to the residents and really get to know them. The administrator is easily accessible whenever I’ve had a question or concern, and helpful in guiding through the hospice process when it was needed. Our parents moved to A Country Place in 2020. At age 96, Dad passed peacefully in the room he shared with Mom, assisted by caregivers from Hospice and ACP. Six years later, Mom passed (age 95) after a full day of relished meals, word-search puzzles (her favorite), chair yoga, songs, and the weekly visit from a Catholic Eucharistic Minister. My mom was a resident at A Country Place for about a year and half until she passed in Jan 2026. The staff truly cares and the residents get the attention that they need. It was a welcome change from the big corporate ALF that she had been in prior. Rob, Nancy, Glori, and the staff are dedicated and always happy to help.

The workers here are mean to the older people. They let just anyone give medical stuff like shots and medication without a license even if it’s their first week there with no experience.
