Have dealt with a number of dealers in the last six years and A Coin Shop in Omaha was the most honest and uprfront that I have ever come across. Was so confident that I consigned a number of coins there and was well pleased with the results. Good prices as well for some coins that I was looking for as well. If all dealrers were as honest the hobby would be alot less stressfull.
The new owner of this shop is, as of today (Oct. 1, 2009) asking $1,225 for a one-ounce, bullion gold American Eagle coin. He will pay spot-price ($998) if you sell him one. So, he's asking for a 22.5% profit-margin on BULLION! Give me a break. I'll never do business with this shop; in my opinion, the owner is preying on fools who know no better than to walk out his door with an immediate 22.5% LOSS on their investment. Man, that's worse than a new car...
I buy my coins from the coin shop at Westroads. Much more reliable and fairly priced.
this coin shop has always treated me great, the people who work there are friendly and fair. I recommend this shop to any one looking for a great deal.
