Not A Fan of This Company – PLEASE NOTE, this company is writing their own ads under reviews here, so when you look at the average star rating, like I did over a week ago, it looks like they have pretty good reviews. That should be your first clue about their honesty. I have never reviewed a company online before. In the past, I have always contacted the company directly if there was a problem. Crooks! – My dad totally got ripped off by this place! Customer service was terrible. Price was way too high, and they pressured my dad (elderly man) into agreeing to work he didn't need. When I called to inquire about the work done, I never got a straight answer and they were rude! I checked their website and it has the BBB logo on it, but when I looked them up it says they are not rated. Figures. And that Liz chick thinks she's a marketing whiz.... hardly! In response to your review. It is recommended that anyone under the age of 18 has proper consent from a parent when it comes time to needing a transmission rebuild. In this case the customer had consent but had left out some important factors like payment. This was not a good situation for us because the parent apologized for not being able to be involved in the whole transaction. A refund was issued. Thank You A Best Transmission Team/ Liz
A Best got me back on the road again. – This is one of the most painless transmission shop experiences I've had yet. It seems I will always need a transmission shop. I have had two other transmissions rebuilt before. But I have to say A Best was the best shop experience yet. They have great customer service. I had a great experience at A Best! – I was driving to San Antonio from Houston when my engine light started to flash. I didn't know what to do but to keep on driving. By the time I got to San Antonio my car was beginning to jerk. I went to my friends house Kim to try to get some help. Kim recommended her friend Liz at A Best Transmissions. Kim and Liz went to school together. I called Liz but ended up speaking with Tony. Tony was very helpful. He was able to pick my car up for free and check the transmission out for me. A-BEST SAVED ME OVER $2000! – My name is David and I have a vehicle that was recently fixed by A-Best Transmissions. I usually do not write reviews but I thought this was worth sharing. My transmission starts acting up by not downshifting and staying in 2nd and 3rd . Eventually the problem goes away but just to be safe I take it to a transmission shop to get it checked. Terrible - Beware! – We had the worst auto service experience ever! They would not return phone calls, took beyond a reasonable amount of time to get car serviced. The cost was beyond what other shops would have charged.
