NEVER pay your next months rent in advance. We did and we were still charged a full months rent anyway. We've been calling and emailing them every week and we have yet to have the situation resolved. It's been 2 months... Also you can tell by other reviews, they dont answer maintenance requests. You'll have to call them or talk to them in person to have them take your request seriously.
I hate posting negative reviews but I have to make this one. This past spring, the office never once returned my calls about the fact that I was being billed TWICE each month for my utilities because my apartment was listed under two different numbers. For several months. (Im so glad Columbia Water & Light finally came out to do something about it TODAY, months and months later.) This stressful experience not only cost me my time, but also a good amount of money. I hope A&B can read this review and learn from it.
The sign of a good rental company is how they handle returning a deposit and needed repairs during and after the lease ends. A and B is average at best when it comes to needed maintenance, and sorely disappointing when it comes to returning a deposit. Of the 30 days possible, they waited until the 11th hour to return the initial deposit (mailed it out on the 30th day after the move-out walk through). I rented from this company many years ago and never had a complaint. So awesome to rent from them again with the last duplex. The staff is awesome and worked with me every step of the way! John is a friendly and welcoming guy and is down to earth. Rob always listened when I had questions or concerns. Especially concerning woodpeckers, birds in the roof, and carpenter bees!!
