Unit was running, but putting out hot air. Had a guy(company) coming out that I had arranged with this morning for 645 tonight. He got stuck on another and couldn't make it tonight. As our house was 90° at this point. I called A&A at about 10 till 7pm. He was able to get here by about 815. Santiago was my hero! Diagnosed and fixed our dead capacitor in a jiffy. A & A has serviced our three home A/C systems for many years and has always provided prompt and quality service at a very reasonable price. The owner, Robin, on his own initiative a few years ago, had one of his technicians inspect and rework a return air plenum that had been pulling hot air into the upstairs system since installation by another company in the 1980s.
I have used these guys twice now---they are prompt and I have seen their guy go out of his way to make a trip back to their office on both occasions to get a part he needed and come back to finish that same day. In other words, he was sensitive to the fact that I had no air conditioning and didn't want me to have to wait another day for it to be fixed. I thought their price was reasonable too and they didn't try to sell me equipment I didn't need.
I called to get a quote to come out and do a tune up on my AC and he was very rude on the phone, when I asked a different question he raised his voice at me and said "I already told you". I went with a different company.
