Literally the worst place to go for anything. They try to rip you off left and right especially if they suspect you don't know much about cars. I got a brake and lamp inspection done, they told me everything under the sun was wrong with my car, including rotors and brake pads they said needed to be replaced, when my mechanic pulled the old ones off they looked exactly like the new ones, he said there was nothing even wrong with them.. I was in to get a smog everything was good till a guy brought in a pit bull and let him run loose in the waiting room.
People tell me not to go there to get my vehicle smogged because they're scam artists but honestly it was a great experience. Lady at the desk was polite. I didn't have an appointment, so I called and asked if they would have time and she said if I can be there before 4, they would smog my car. I was in and out of there in 15 minutes and had enough time to make it to DMV.
Last time I was there was during smog check season, upon leaving I found that my belongings had been gone through and thrown all over my floorboards and seats and my change was missing. I had locked my car and given the key to an employee inside, I sat there in the office the entire time the car was worked on and was given my key back by the person at the front desk when I left, meaning an employee was the only one who had access to do so to my car. This shop offers quality repairs at great prices. Services for fluid changes are a bit pricey when compared to Jiffy Lube, but the service here is a little more professional. Jiffy lube is the fast food of oil services where as A1 Smog and Auto Repair is a 5 star diner!
