It's like a necessary evil. As a contractor there's just tools etc you need to rent, but you hate going in this place. The staff just suck. Sorry, not sorry. Just not a friendly group of people. Always having alot of turn around in the shop and the rental prices on somethings are ridiculous considering what you're getting. Nobody else "in town" and no other company can seem to stay afloat, which is odd.
Most of the time employees are pretty friendly. There are a few employees that don't seem to want you there. In October I had a bad experience with one of the employees but decided to wait before posting a bad review. I rented a track loader and unfortunately it rained while I was renting it. I spent 30 to 45 minutes cleaning the track loader before I returned it. The track loader was clean but when it rolled off the trailer there was a little mud on the trailer. I traveled from Lewistown to install 700 linear feet of fascia cover and 5 in seamless aluminum gutter on a large apartment building, and I was trying to have this done because of a deadline on it, and on the way to Helena I had a couple of issues with my truck, and then when I got there it rained, and it cost me a couple of days. A-1 has always been wonderful to work with. Had a slight problem with the equipment on this rental, but they made the problem right, gave me new equipment, started my time over, and was super nice about it. I highly recommend A-1 Rentals. It has been a pleasure working with them for the 20+ years that I have been using them.
