Bought a house based on **s inspection, A1 Quality Inspections. Closed on April 17, 2019 and learned from a foundation company that this house has major issues on May 23, 2019. I contacted ** right away, he stuck to the terms of his contract, returned the money I paid for his less than satisfactory inspection and washed his hands of the problem. A buyer should never purchase a house "based on any inspector's inspection." If so, it is the poorest of judgments. And the very statement is ludicrous. One should do his/her due diligence on any, but particularly on a 79 year-old, yes, 79 year old! house that had so many issues that any reasonable person would have had enough information to decide NOT to buy it. This buyer was desperate to move (into this house), because she had nowhere else to go, and repeatedly said so and was determined to buy this house regardless. The ... read more
