Took almost two months and did not fix engine. Not sure what was being done but had to travel almost three hours to get car back and take it somewhere else.

I have been dealing with A-1 ever since they opened and I trust them emphatically. They have always treated me with respect and fairly. As an example I had a jeep that the air condition drain line was stopped up. I went to the dealer in town and they said it would take several days to remove the dash so they could get to the drain line. I took the jeep to A-1 and told them my problem. One of the worst car mechanics I have ever had to deal with. They have been very rude to my wife and me. I have had to take my car there three times to get the ac fixed. Dan is the only person there I could deal with. Mario and the owner have been way beyond unprofessional. I will never take my car there again. I am from North Wilkesboro where they are located you would think they would want my business but they seem not to care. They treat you like you don't have any clue about cars.

So, my car needed maintenance. I go to A1 auto service on Second Street hill to get the work done. They have me bring my car in at 8 AM on Thursday. They never even started work until Saturday. I call them at about 1 PM today(Monday) and tell them I am coming to get my car at 4 PM. I get there at 4 PM and the owner says he needs cash. I am guessing he thought I was going to pay with a check. I had cash. I counted our $667.00( $167.00 more then the quote) and he refused to take my cash. In Dec. my car jumped time. We paid to have the car fixed at A1 Automotive. In Jan. the car jumped time again. I took it back to them. They had it from mid Jan. until today 3/10/2016. They fixed my car and didn't charge me a dime. They stood behind their work. Dan and the guys in the shop are amazing. I appreciate what they did for us. The car being in the shop put us in a bind but we are so happy they helped us and are Genuinely Honest people. Have taken every car and my boat there since they opened. I have always had great service. They even opened up on a Sunday afternoon for my son's car so he could get back to school for Monday classes. Sometimes they speak with in a spicy language. They are from Detroit. I now live across the state but have returned from time to time to get service from the best.

Poor server . they cuss me out when I call to check on my car. They had my car for three weeks and will not tell me anything about it. Just told me stop call them about the car and a few other bad words to me on the phone. This was a manager i was talk too. Bad bad place to take your car too.

:( Talked very degrading to me, acted like I didn't know a spark plug from a steering wheel!
