My husband and I visited 801 Chophouse in Omaha for our anniversary after booking a month in advance. We expected a level of attentiveness similar to what we’ve experienced at comparable fine dining restaurants such as Joe’s Seafood (in Chicago), but unfortunately, the service and energy didn’t quite reach that standard. I had high expectations, but my dry-aged NY Steak was overcooked. Ordered medium rare yet it was barely pink and quite tough. Everything else was fine.
Overrated ! Overpriced! No effort in the Steak just placed dry cooked and placed on a plate, which was not even clean and you could see fingerprints on it, looked like the chef hates his job ! The Steak was to dry and no flavor at all ! Cappuccino was lukewarm served in the smallest cup, worst taste - but you get charged $10.- ! The worst place I have ever been as a top Steak house !
