Creepy, creepy, creepy – Wow! For starters, anytime your GPS say "You have reached your destination," and you don't know if you should get out and go in....Its a sign. But let me backtrack...Like others, when calling to book my appointment I spoke to someone that could hardly speak English. I was slightly put-off but decided that maybe that only solidified the fact that I was going to get a good quality Asian massage. Fast foward to my disappointment upon arrival.
Despite the obvious warning signs (to include a *club* next door with blacked out windows, and the fact that the spa itself had no sign, just some stickers advertising prices and services on the door) I entered anyway. When I first walked in I quickly realized there was nothing relaxing about the place, and was greeted by someone who again spoke almost NO English. Possibly the same woman from the phone. Anyway, after we sort out that I have an 1130 appointment and am NOT requesting a 30 minute massage I am given my form which asks if I authorize a breast massage. Not that I think some people don't enjoy breast massages, and I am glad that they at least asked first but still....Of the 100's of massages I had over the year it was the first time I had been asked this question. Kind of creepy. After being escorted in my room, as I am lying there on the bed, I look over at the sign on the wall that reads something to the effect of... "We do not do sexual favors, if you are touched in a such a way, please report to management." REALLY!!!! What kind of place is this. Suddenly I pictured a room full of girls cuddled up in the back somewhere being forced to work. Moving right along, my therapist smacked gum in my ear the WHOLE time, and left 3 times without saying a word. By the way, I prefer massage oils to Jergens lotion *its true* any day of the week. On a decent note, the massage itself was alright. Not horrible, but quite possibly the worst I've had. A lot of areas were left un-touched (probably a good thing though), and it just didnt leave me feeling rejuvinated.
At the end of the day, I felt dirty just for having been there. Other users are right, the walls do not go up to the cieling, you can hear everything going on, the English is poor, and the environment is creepy. Stupid me, I bought two of these groupons. Consider #2 forfieted. Maybe this is a new business and the owners are just trying to do the best they can but sometimes, in spite of your best efforts..It just isn't good enough.
