WoW! We had the perfect night-before-MerleFest Dinner at Sixth and Main. He had steak. I had the mushroom pasta and lobster bisque. It was one of the best dinners we've had in a long long time. Definitely pricey, but also definitely worth every penny.
Consistently outstanding food every time! I've been impressed with every meal I've had there.
Very disappointing Once upon a time, it was a great place, had a great friendly, knowledgeable staff of local family members and a great bartender and chef both from NY, and wonderful, inspired food, but that's long over. Its a pretty building, but the rest has gone downhill. Rude service and management, mediocre food, and just generally an inhospitable atmosphere. Great place to dine! We thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. Little did we know this was in Wilkesboro! We loved the ambiance and the food was excellent.
YOU CAN'T GO HOME AGAIN This was my favorite restaurant when I lived in N Wilkesboro and I have dreamed of going back. I had the opportunity on March 27 to finally go back to 6th and Main and we were extremely disappointed in how this wonderful restaurant had changed. The Creme Brule was one of the best desserts but it was served on a 12 inch dinner plate in a custard cup, was separating, with lumps and mostly thin. Romantic and Delicious We ate at 6th and Main last time we were at our cabin in Buck Mountain. I couldn't believe what an elegant and sophisticated place was right in our little N wilkesboro! It was more like Carmel, CA than NC! The food was perfect and the service was superb. We will make it our regular from now on.
Sixth & Main We were not impressed. First they ran out of bread, 45 minutes later when we thought they were bringing out our food they came to tell us that they had run out of what we ordered. We ordered something else and my filet mignon was overcooked and my hubby's pork chop was raw. We were sitting practically on top of the people at the table next to us and didn't feel like we could talk very loudly.
