I have truly enjoyed living at 618 S Main Apartments these last few years. The location is fantastic - easy access to downtown and the UofM campus. The current Property Staff have been been super responsive, friendly, and it's evident they genuinely care about the residents and community. Alex S. (Property Manager) and Andrew T (Head of Maintenance) have handled every situation with professionalism and have helped me out on multiple occasions!
As a multi-year resident in the building I have had a good experience living here! Amenities are great (gym, pool, common areas). I would give a 5 star rating normally but to talk about the overall experience you hear the trains butt you know know what you are signing up for. There has been only 1 change over in management that I have experienced. I have lived at several properties over the years, and 618 S Main is undoubtedly the best. The property is impeccably maintained and cared for. The office staff, especially Alex and Shavon, are exceptional and responsive. They regularly organize resident events and maintain a festive atmosphere during the holidays. The gym and pool facilities are excellent. The location is ideal, with easy walking access to all downtown Ann Arbor restaurants. I've enjoyed living here for 3 years already and plan to stay even longer.
This place has seriously gone downhill since Krista left. The only competent person remaining is the maintenance guy—he's great and always helpful. But everything else has declined. The community events used to be something I looked forward to. Krista once organized a full catered soup bar that was genuinely delicious. Now? The new team put out two crock pots of undercooked frozen soup. It was gross. When someone politely brought this up, they were basically laughed out of the room—as if it was wrong to expect quality.
