I hate leaving negative reviews because I believe most issues can be resolved internally with proper communication. However, the property managers at Gaslight have shown this is not possible in this situation. The 500 Lafayette property is currently not compliant with the ADA or Fair Housing Act. The elevator has been consistently out of service for over a week not including the random outages over the past 6 months (of which has all been documented.) Nice part of town, responsive management, and quick helpful maintenance
I have lived in this apartment for three months and have to stay for one more month. I pay $1,695 per month for a one-bedroom unit, yet this experience has severely impacted my mental health, resulting in neurosis and sleep issues. I work at Children’s Hospital, where I maintain a very regular schedule and perform serious, demanding responsibilities that require full concentration. I’ve been here two years now, about 1.5 years longer than I’d thought. It’s pricey for what you get, but I like the location. Parking is easy and I have my own entrance through the patio. The neighborhood is beautiful, and it’s a great place to walk pets. I have the email of the building manager for problems if they arise, who answers promptly, even on Thanksgiving Day. If they knocked $300-$400 off the price, it’d be phenomenal.
We are very pleased with our apartment and the beautiful location. Tracy Johnson worked with us the whole time and got us everything we needed and worked with our schedule to get us our apartment! Beautiful building
