Good food, bad desserts My foodie friend recommended this restaurant as an up and coming new place. It had a nice industrial vibe and cool, modern interior, although it is situated on the edge of a very transitional neighborhood (the road was dark and a little creepy). The place was a little loud, with tables situated close together (and our table was very wobbly and had to be leveled with some napkins under the leg), but the interior is attractive and the service attentive. The four of us who went each tried different dishe... read more

No wonder it's Top 10 in Atlanta! – I'm a big Atlanta foodie, so I am always on the look out for the latest and greatest in the city. 4th & Swift had always been on my "list" after seeing it show up in my searches over and over again, but I'd never had an occasion to go until recently. My experience was FANTASTIC! I went with a small group of girl friends, but this place is easily fit for intimate dates, small groups, and even larger parties. The food is absolutely phenomenal; they have a daily Chef's menu, as well as a cons... read more

Great atomsphere, thats about it – Maybe my expectations were high because of the other reviews I read but after going to this restaurant I would not go back. The atomsphere was nice. The start of the evening was nice, the server seemed very knowledgable about the food and the seasonal menu, which is what I would expect from this type of restaurant. Then, they brought me the wrong drink, which is fine stuff like that happens. But when they brought me my new drink it still was incorrect. They brought my date the wrong meal, w... read more

Business-class restaurant, First-class price – I liked this restaurant. The food was great, but I thought it was expensive for the meal offered. A glass of wine, for instance, is $9-11, which is a bit high in my opinion. Entree's are in the mid to upper $20's. The entrance looks like the back door. In fact, nearly every one of my party of 10 walked past the door and around the building before entering. A clearly visible sign might be in order here. The ambiance is nice, but the lighting could be warmer. I didn't like the flu... read more

2008 Restaurant of the Year – We had a lot of good restaurants open in Atlanta this year. From gastropub perfection at Holeman and Finch to Asian street-eats at Spice Market--foodies certainly didn't suffer in '08. Gotta hand it to Jay Swift for giving us a classic though. Being outstanding and simple is... to me... the golden standard and Swift hits the nail on the head. Decor is elegant without being stuffy, the menu is interesting yet comforting, and the service is hip yet respectful. Even through the tough economic times... read more

Not great, but a solid place to try... – I thought 4th and swift was good, but not great. The food was very good, but perhaps a little overpriced. I have had food as good or better but with cheaper prices. I feel that you are paying more for the atmosphere, which I felt was lacking. This restaurant is in a old factory, which was loud and drafty. Worth a try, but there are better restaurants in atlanta.

Great Food, Great Service, Great Fun! – Highly recommend this restaurant! I recently ate here with a group of friends and had a wonderful time! The waitress was very attentive and gladly answered all of our questions about the menu. No one was ever without water or wine and during the meal both the manager and chef came over to make sure everything was to our liking. The food was wonderful...butternut squash soup was delicious as well as the scallop dish with pumpkin risotto. We had a later reservation and were the last tabl... read more

Awesome! Jay Swift has hit a home run with his own place.. We have been there several times and have liked everything on the menu. If you like pork, try the three little pigs with mac and cheese, it is out of this world!Again can't miss if you want great food and service.

The quality was amazing! – My husband and I recently visited 4th and Swift while on vacation from the Northeast. I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant, which I thought was very comfortable, yet interesting. I really liked the arrangement of the room and cannot wait to try out one of the tables near the kitchen on our next visit to Atlanta; I thought the curtains were really intriguing. Our server was very friendly and eager to please. I started with the heirloom tomato salad, which was very, very fresh; tomatoes like thes... read more
