I joined this gym a month ago and I can honestly say I’m so happy I did! For me, the gym isn’t just about fitness, it’s therapy. It’s a fun playground where I go to play, to process, to express, to connect, and to release. From day one, this space has felt safe, welcoming, and grounding. What stands out most is the community. I don’t know what it was like before city sports took it over, but I like it. Way better than 24, not that crowded, equipment is in good shape and clean, I haven’t had any issues with staff. WIFI is horrible but overall it’s good.
This gym was once 49er Fit, now it's City Sports. Really I'm only going here out of convenience. As a 49er glitch member who got grandfathered into City Sports, I am paying more than City Sports members. In order for me to get the lower rate and the bring a friend for free benefits, I'd have to resign up and pay for 1st and last month. Not willing to do that. I've expressed (and from my understanding so have other 49er Fit members) how much this doesn't make sense. Also, I don't find the gym very clean or organized. Weights ... read more
DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS GYM. DONT DO IT. HERE'S WHY (my opinion): - FILTHY facilities (bathrooms are humid, smell like urine, feces, dirty socks or a combination of the three) - lack of maintenance (soap dispensers unfilled, hand dryers don't work, machines don't work) - RUDE front desk staff (on MULTIPLE occasions I was left waiting while front desk staff chatted and/or FLIRTED with another patron.
