Since the change of ownership (49erFit to City Sports) the gym has gotten way worse: they got rid of the vibration foam rollers. Now there’s only a few, soft rollers that are worthless. Boxing bags seems to be disappearing as well. Used to be 4-5 upstairs now only 2. Stability balls are never filled up even though I’ve mentioned many times. There is only 1 set of 17.5lbs dumbbells in the entire gym. They got rid of the 35lbs plates too. WiFi has always been spotty. Very pretty equipment. Bad free weights area. Especially the weird benches and hard to access free wieghts.
CONS: Rude front desk lady looked at me like I was crazy for asking question about my membership. This was after I was standing there waiting for 10 minutes while she was LEANING OVER the desk and FLIRTING with some gym member. Quality/maintenance has been deteriorating rapidly in the past year. It was relatively fine between April 2019-December 2024. -PROS A rude front desk lady and manager no longer work at city sports (Amber P. and Valerie A.) I’ve been a member of City Sports for several months, and unfortunately my experience has continued to get worse. Since the T&T Supermarket opened next door, parking has become a nightmare. It now takes 10–15 minutes just to find a parking spot before every workout. I understand that the supermarket itself isn’t the gym’s fault, but as a paying member I expect City Sports to work with the property management to find a solution. Since the neighboring store opened, parking has become nearly impossible for gym members. The lot is constantly full, and sometimes I have to circle around or leave altogether. The gym management needs to address this issue with the property owner or the neighboring business.
