Ryan took our ideas and preferences from our discussion with him and then expanded upon them in ways we never could have imagined. He also thought through practical aspects that were not yet on our radar - for instance, he designed the windows in a manner that ensured the right look but allowed us to avoid the extra cost of transoms on the second floor. We worked with Ryan La Haie and his team to create a home with some unique design challenges. Building near Lake Michigan presents special challenges due to snow levels, high winds and potential storms. The team at 42 North knows what it takes to make a solid house and choose the right materials.
