We really enjoyed the food here...came back three times. Delicious breakfast - pecan waffles, home made biscuits with amazing home made jam. Coffee is made from freshly ground beans. The restaurant is family owned. Warm and friendly atmosphere.

We ate here twice during our stay at the Hotel Indigo next door. The food tastes just like grandma’s - I had waffles for breakfast and cornmeal cod the next day - and the mixed berry mint lemonade is homemade and fantastic. Ask to sit upstairs - it’s a quiet room in a renovated southern home decorated beautifully. This place feels like a grown up place to eat, but it’s very affordable at around $10-$15/entree. They also serve homemade southern desserts like chocolate peanut butter pie and banana pudding. Highly recommended!
We go to 417 union regularly for brunch before going to a play at TPAC and we have never had any problem with food or service. We were there yesterday and Michael was very friendly, efficient and attentive. I highly recommend eating there.
