The staff is friendly, but make sure your animal is perfectly behaved because they will label them aggressive for barking at them when they do a fecal exam. God forbid, don't muzzle them to try and keep them from being vocal because they just assume it is because you are afraid they will bite them. Will Not Return My five year old dog has ALWAYS gotten ALL vaccinations EVERY year, and I keep all records as proof. Trying not to overvaccinate, I politely asked this vet to omit bordetella this year because among experts in canine imunology, the bordetella vaccine is contraindicated for well ventilated situations like dog parks. When I requested that this vet fill out paperwork so my dog can go to the dog park without bordetella, she refused explaining that my dog is perfectly healthy and therefore needs the full battery o... read more

Great visit!
Our 12 years old dog was in severe distress on a Sunday morning. She had terminal cancer and I knew she was critically ill. She had long outlived the time she had been given. We had visited the ER in Jacksonville on prior occasions but 4 Paws had an emergency service and was closer to our location on Amelia Island. We called the emergency service and Dr. Arbo (Jason) met us at the facility. The facility had state of the art technology, was large, clean and well kept. Amazing! 4 Paws Pet Clinic literally saved our dogs life. Another vet diagnosed our dog with pancreatitis and he wasn't getting better. We took him here and Dr. Norstrud recommended surgery. It turned out he has a large amount of what appeared to be carpet or a rug in his stomach. I do believe that he was a day or two away from dying and she saved his life. I am so thankful and would recommend this vet to everyone.

They have lots of business, but they do such a great job of never overbooking. Did you leave the office feeling satisfied with your visit? Completely! Was this veterinarian gentle when caring for your pet? Unbelievabley gentle, it is very apparant they truly care about pets well-being and comfort
