The building is nice but the management company is a mess. They ignored tenant complaints about broken elevators and running water until the city inspectors got involved and when it comes to renewals, they will increase your rent by hundreds of dollars despite having quite a few of the same units available at a price lower than your current rent. They also act like they are doing you a favor with this rent increase. I would not recommend renting from any UDR property.
My husband and I were very excited to live in this downtown luxury high rise that offers spectacular views of the Bay Bridge and promises top notch amenities. However this is such a poorly run operation that they have no right to advertise as a luxury amenities building until they get their act together. Living in NYC for 6 years, I am familiar with the type of great services these kind of high-rises offer so I was excited to see this little part of SF develop. However, after our experiences Saturday evening at 399 Fremont, I am forever scar. We came to visit our friend who lives in the building for a Saturday BBQ.
