I joined this gym in October 2015, found out I was leaving the country soon after and tried to cancel but never could. I wrote numerous emails to various staff members as instructed by the receptionists, and although the company denies it, I never received a reply. They say they never saw any of the emails I sent, but I am looking at these emails right now, so clearly the issue is theirs.
