I’ve been renting here for 6 months, and for the past 3 months the main door has been left open. At first, it broke and they tried to fix it, but eventually ended up replacing the whole thing. Still, it hasn’t been properly fixed. A few days ago, someone stole money I had inside my car, which was parked in the lot where it’s supposed to be safe. The situation here has become unacceptable. After several months of living at this property, the parking area has consistently been chaotic: gates remain broken, and there are absolutely no security measures in place. A few weeks ago, my vehicle was broken into inside the parking lot, which is supposed to be a secure area. Money was stolen from my car. I visited with my niece apartment shopping. Tho it wasn’t a good fit for us Kelly the lady that helped us was extremely professional helpful and informative. She made the experience easy and straight forward.
Do NOT rent with AVA South End or Avalon. We moved out after a year of everything in the building being constantly broken. Upon move out, we were charged exorbitant cleaning fees with absolutely no explanation (which is illegal under NC law). After multiple months of trying to communicate with them to get an explanation on these charges, we did not receive any personalized feedback and were told that there was nothing they could do.
