Had a great move in but moved out and got charged a $250 cleaning fee because there was dust on my ceiling fan
I lived here for two years with my roommates, and we all feel the same way about AVA. The location is great, and the rent is relatively affordable, but those are honestly the only positives we can think of. Our move-in experience set the tone from the beginning. Daniel is absolutely amazing!!! He is so communicative, nice, and extremely timely. He is the best thing about Ava apartments!
I lived here for about 1.5 years and recently moved out. Ava is cheap and in a good location but the apartment quality is terrible. Things like gates being broken, cars getting broken into, gross smells in the stairwell and hallways, loud noises, etc. The apartments are outdated and management is not helpful. They are only in the leasing office a couple times a week so most of the time if you have a problem you have to email instead of going to the office for immediate help. I was not impressed by the tour here. First of all, the halls were very dirty with the stained carpet. All the unit doors had huge scuff marks on them. Next, inside the unit, the cabinets were very scuffed up and did not look like they were being repaired in between tenants. The guide also did not bring us around to the units, which made us feel like we were in a maze. Lastly, the trash fee is crazy; it differs in price depending on everyone else's trash usage. Going from $40-$70 per month.
