This gym has real good newer equipment and is usually not at all crowded or loud. Weight slamming is prohibited (good by me) and it has an upscale feel— clean restrooms, filtered water on tap, top end equipment, massage therapist on duty, etc. It’s true the owner is not a fan of loud unruly juveniles, but again that is fine by me. It is located one block from the beach also.
Very clean gym. Well maintained equipment. Casual beach atmosphere. Not packed with teenagers and inconsiderate tourists. Family run business.
Believe all of these one star reviews! I had been a member for several months and was keenly aware of the owner’s rabbit ears (aka roid rage). He accused me of dropping weights but refused to show me the video because he knew it wasn’t true. In a maybe 40 minute workout, I only used free weight once for single arm dumbbell rows. Life is way too short to deal with people like this!
