Pre-Christmas holiday with family coming from the four corners - a great time - a great place! Comfortable, warm, cozy, clean, well stocked and the best best location for fun in Ashland. Even had a few beautiful inches of snow! loved it! Manager left us hot cocoa and apple cider along with a bottle of wine -- couldn't have been nicer.
Couldnt be better for downtown location. Great set up - four bedrooms and 3 baths, good kitchen, nice porch, close to restaurants and theaters for our group. Made it easy to go in different directions AND together as desired. Will return for sure - nice, clean, comfortable.
Loved this place! We recently returned from a great trip to Ashland after staying at Heritage House (2nd Street Cottages). House was perfect - comfortable beds, great front porch, clean and had everything we needed and wanted. We set up some games for our group of 8 (!) and had a puzzle we all worked on throughout the week we were there. I guess in packing up we missed a piece of that puzzle without realizing. Great place to stay! Loved the cottages - very comfortable and perfect location for walking downtown. Really nice, clean lodging and fully stocked with everything we needed for meals. Highly recommend.
Stayed here recently and learned the former owner passed away. New, very friendly manager and a beautiful, clean accommodation -- can't beat the location in Ashland.
Don't go! Second Street Cottages (sister property and run by the same management as Black Swan Inn) was very beautiful and clean, but do not expect to be treated well. They do not accept card payments of any kind and want a check for the first night mailed in to reserve. Not a big deal except they want full payment before or as soon as you arrive, and were not available upon arrival.
