All sweetness when you sign up about the easy month to month membership, until you need to cancel. it has been a 4 month ordeal beginning with a required certified letter and month assurances that they would indeed stop charging me and that they would credit my account. 4 months out, just enough time to loss your letter receipt they tell you that there is nothing they can do, that you are a liar and are probably trying to steal from them and they certainly will not therefore credit you. Place has it all! – I like to work out and i went to a gym before this. The gym is soo much better than my last one. The machines are more updated and cleaner and the people there are friendly and helped me out. All machines work and the locker rooms are clean. Check this place out!

HOME AWAY FROM HOME – This is an absolutely amazing gym, more like a home to me. They have more than what I need as far as equiptment goes and the staff are like family to me. This is the perfect place for me to balance my intense school curriculum with. They have BRAND NEW CARDIO!!!! A variety of top-of-the-line cardiovascular equipment all of which is tv-ready! Motivating and Fun – I have been a member for 3 years now and 22nd St Synergy Fitness keeps me coming back for more. First, they have great interactive group classes and now the newest up-to-date cardio equipment has been added, making my workouts motivating and fun. With the new changes, I look forward to going to the gym!

New Equipment/Great Value – The improved Synergy 22 St. sports all new, state-of-the-art cardio equipment, better management, friendlier customer service, spotless locker rooms and clean, airy, open spaces and more classes at very convenient times. The price is less than comparable gyms in the neighborhood and the staff and hours are fine. This gym is a hidden gem and should be checked out now.

Broken machines, no heat in winter, no air-conditioning in summer. – I joined because I live a minute away. Unfortunately their machines are always breaking -- the eliptical went down and stayed down for months. There was almost always a line to use it. I've had that problem with other machines there too. Plus the heat doesn't work some days in the winter and the air-conditioner doesn't work in the summer. Then it starts to smell.

The previous review is dead on! This gym is the worst gym ever - staffed with lying thieves that do not honor their word or their contract. Before joining this gym check with the Better Biz Bureau of NYC and see how many people have complained about their tactics. GO ELSEWHERE!

Worst Gym and staff ever!!!!!! – This place is soooo awful. save your time and money. The inside is flooded everytime it rains and they wont spend the money to fix it. Absolutely every machine is ancient and/or broken. And to top it all off the staff is rude and doesn't even go by the contract that you sign... they harrass me every month to try and charge me more money. Pleeeeeease don't make the same mistake I did. DO NOT GO HERE.
