In for the week with another couple. 21 Main recommended to us by a local server for their steaks. Walking in very nice place as expected but did not feel pretentious. Staff was very friendly and attentive from the jump (with complimentary vallet). Server very knowledgeable about the menu and gluten free options for 1 person in our group. Had dinner there before our show at HOB. Katina was our server and she did an excellent job! She was also very accommodating my wife’s food sensitivities. The filet was cooked perfectly and my wife’s sea bass was also excellent. Will definitely visit again.
We had a poor experience at 21 Main. Our waitress was RUDE and confrontational for no reason. We order a bottle of wine on their menu. They did not have that wine. They tried to bring a wine and say it was the one on the menu, but it was not. AND they later admitted that it was not the wine that we had ordered. During all of this, the server was a completely offended that we did not want the wine that we did NOT order. She was clearly not educated in wine selection on the 21 Main menu. Great atmosphere. Great sushi which was a little odd that they have a special chef for sushi at a steakhouse. They were delicious, some melted in my mouth. But the steak was not as good as sushi. How funny is that??? Little disappointed. On the othe hand, Mac and cheese was one of the best that I've ever had and I usually don't like Mac and cheese. From the moment we stepped inside until walking out, we had an excellent dining experience. We made a reservation with a special request to be placed at a more quiet location due to a birthday celebration. The table was perfectly located and a Happy Birthday note card on the table for us.
