As a musician, this was one of the most uncomfortable venues I’ve played. From the moment we arrived, management seemed more focused on policing every little detail than supporting live music. Before the band even started, there were already complaints about volume simply based on seeing the equipment. We went out of our way to accommodate their concerns. Venue management was difficult to work with from the beginning. Before any speakers were even turned on, there were repeated complaints that the band would be “too loud” simply based on the PA equipment present. We made major efforts to accommodate their requests, including keeping the full 5-piece band with acoustic drums under 90 dB and using bundled rods/hot rods to reduce drum volume significantly.
