Our First Choice! Others have already said how good it is. Let me just add where else do you find a low-cost restaurant serving delicious food on tables with a fresh linen tablecloth and linen napkins at dinner time?
Excellent Chinese cuisine for the price!! First Wok is a Hunan & Szechuan style restaurant and it is one of the best in Minneapolis. The prices are extremely reasonable and the food is excellent!! You really can't go wrong! Service is excellent as well. The staff is always friendly. I have yet to try something on the menu that I don't like, everything so far as been excellent! 1st Wok - Calhoun Village After living about a mile from this place for years, I'm completely convinced it's a front. No one ever seems to go in or out, yet it's been open forever. That being said, we've been there a few times over the years, and it is the same very Americanized strip-mall Chinese restaurant menu and food you can get at a hundred similar places. Nothing horrifying, in my experience, but no reason not to choose a better alternative.
Can't get enough of your kung pao shrimp – I love the first wok! It's definitely the best local chinese I've had. Great service, lunch specials are under $7 and come with soup and some wonton chips and dip. Try the crab rangoons!
Constant Craving – First Wok is our favorite Chinese restaurant in the country! Their food is always quality -- lean cuts of meat, plenty of fresh vegetables and delicious flavor. You will not find any fat or grizzle on their chicken. When we are out of town, the only thing we crave and HAVE to have when we return is 1st Wok!!! The Hunan Chicken is awesome!!!
