I have worked with them for over 6 months on refinancing some properties I own. After 6 months and over $3K in cost (appraisals and the like) not a single property has been refinanced and we just continue to go round and round the mulberry bush. I'd heard good things about them but this has been a fiasco and I implore anyone working with them to get commitments in writing as to when they'll do what AND then nag nag nag them because things just will not get done and it's always "oh we'll get right on that" as weeks go by.
If you are smart, please stay away from this company, especially dealing with David. I can understand that there may have been problems in securing a mortgage with them, however, we sent three follow-up emails with no response. Now our lead time has been narrowed. He apologized for NOT responding to our emails, but that does us NO GOOD....beware of this company.

Carlos at 1st Family Mortgage has help me tremendously for my first home, Rocket 95.1 always talked about them and it's true. If you never had purchase a house before, they will guide you step by step. Carlos also refer me a realtor that was also fantastic...I had the best team!
Just finished a refinance on our home with 1st Family. Found these folks through SaveWithConrad.com. Plus I listen to all of the podcasts hosted my Conrad Thompson. So I’ve heard about them plenty of times. It was about as easy as it could be, especially considering there are 400 miles between us. Derek was especially helpful and walked us through everything. I would highly recommend these guys for your mortgage needs. They helped us get what we wanted and we didn’t have to break the bank.
Me and my spouse worked for a couple years on boosting our credit score. We were first time home buyers having no clue what to expect or how the buying process worked.
