Best brewery in Milwaukee. It’s really unfortunate that they are closing, but I wish the best for the owner.
Very good beers, creative selections. Unique, fun game for 2 to 4 people.
My favorite brewery in the city. 1840 always has a delicious variety of beers, friendly laid back bartenders, a great space on the north end of Bay View, weekly trivia, and even a Skeech table (look it up). We Go Together Like… pb&j sour was a past favorite and more recently their rye IPA, Saaziwaka barrel aged table beer, and also the barrel-aged milk stout have been my top picks.
1840 is a nice brewery with a great, open atmosphere, with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The service was great and allowed you to sample some beers. They have a back game room with shuffleboard, darts, as well as board games. We tried the West Bend Lite, TBD Saison, and Kidding Season. We liked all of them. Only reason for four stars is 10 beers on tap. I would’ve liked a larger selection, but would come back.
