I’ve never written a public review like this before, but I feel like I have to. I live at 1311 Cook with my boyfriend, and what was once a nice place to live has completely fallen apart—especially when it comes to safety. On July 2, 2025, 14 cars were broken into in our garage. Fourteen. The side door to the garage was broken. People lost thousands of dollars in damages and stolen property. Security is an issue, neighborhood’s been getting worse but rent is still quite high. Communal laundry is an issue. Since Redpeak don’t own the laundry machines they need to wait for the CSC guys to repair/replace when they constantly break which takes forever. laundry machine’s been broken about every other weekend on my floor. The pool is over-chlorinated and the room has bad air circulation which makes it unpleasant. I’m a current resident at 1311 Cook, and I cannot recommend this building—or any RedPeak property. Security is a major issue: on July 2, 2025, 14 cars were broken into due to a broken garage door, with over $6,000 in losses and damage - RedPeak has refused to meet with residents as a group in response to this. This follows multiple bike/motorcycle thefts and even a resident being threatened by an intruder in June. Doors are constantly broken, and cameras appear non-functional or unmonitored.
