Okay honestly I've been living in SA for over 10 years now and this has been my favorite place to live. I've lived by UTSA, medical area and so far this has been the best. It's close to the downtown scene, run clubs, river walk, restaurants and everything else. The ceilings are tall and gives restoration hardware vibes if you know how to decorate. Really enjoyed my 3 years here at 1221. I love the industrial design and concrete floors that help stay cool during the hot summers. The location is unbeatable for the price. River north is one of the few places in San Antonio where you can actual walk to cool places within the area. Staff was great and super accommodating. Never had any real issues over my 3 years here. If I wasn't leaving San Antonio, I would have stayed here much longer.

If security is a priority for you, this place is NOT for you. What's the point of a layered physical security system when the doors and gates are constantly broken or just left open? We see homeless going through the trash daily, random people walking freely through the complex..etc. What's the point of supposably having "on- site security" officer when an issue arises, you have to call a 3rd party remote call center that literally doesn't answer the phone?!? TLDR: This was by far the best apartment complex I've ever lived in, but management and upkeep of common areas has really gone downhill. It's also the longest I've ever lived in an apartment without moving. I faced south on Avenue B, so I received plenty of natural sunlight and the concrete walls provided fantastic acoustic separation. If you’re considering moving into 1221 Lofts, don’t. I wish I had listened to the reviews before mine because they were absolutely right — once you’re in, you’re stuck. The noise from the bar below is unbearable. It’s not just occasional loud music; it’s constant, disruptive, and continues well into the early hours of the morning. I’m a first responder — sleep isn’t a luxury for me, it’s a necessity — and despite multiple pleas to be released from my lease due to health and career-related concerns, management has shown zero ... read more
