Warning– Think Twice Before Signing a Lease at 1212 East! This community used to be a hidden gem; great location, tight-knit neighbors, and decent value. I moved into 1212 East late February 2023. Shortly after moving in, I noticed the thermostat wasn’t responding and the apartment was cold. There was RARELY a property manager in the office, but the then leasing agent, Shelby, did everything she could to help me. The maintenance man basically lied to me (and Shelby) when he said it was just that I needed a new thermostat, when in fact, the system wasn’t even working! Update: 7/22/2024 I was kindly asked to take down my review while management works on becoming fully staffed. It's good to see them acknowledge the understaffing issue, but it's unrealistic to expect immediate fixes. These changes will take time, and it wouldn't be fair for new residents to walk into this ongoing mess. Unfortunately, every neighbor I've talked to in the building is experiencing issues with the Leasing Office, so it's not just me. Incredible experience with the leasing office and staff! Natalia and Maria were so helpful and responsive. They went out of their way to help make the tour, signing of the lease and move in smooth and comfortable. Jimmy was a great help with the move in!
