I can't recommend Dr. Joan highly enough. After following her work closely through her publications, her podcasts and interviews, as well as working with her 1:1, I can only say that her professionalism and attention to detail are stellar, clear and amazing. She's got the Science of Happiness well-described and locked-in with knowledge to spare. She's a rational and kind human being.

a number of years ago my (ex) husband and I went for counselling. Instead of seeing if we should still be together she went to great lengths to talk me into staying. My ex has severe issues that are not resolved to this day. I'm glad I went with my instincts instead of being talked into staying in an unhealthy relationship. I hope she has improved on her methods. Not all marriages can be saved.
She is the only Psychologist that sprang out at me from behind her desk like a leopard from a "Jack in the Box". Scared the living Jesus out of me. She swung her arm in a large circular theatrical motion and pointed to the door 15 min into the session exclaiming: "This session is OVA!!" I challenged her knowlege about PTSD. Whoops.....
