I’ve been training at this gym for about three months now, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Had a WONDERFUL TIME here! Was visiting from a 10P ( Georgetown) in Texas, and everyone here was Awesome!! My daughter went to the kiddos class, and I attended a morning class. My sister who lives in Poway I told her to send her kiddos here! Thank y'all again for the hospitality!
10th Planet Poway is an amazing gym! I hopped in on a Thursday night for some training and was greeted immediately by Coach Kevin, Coach Joshua and the students. First, there is lots of mat space at this gym. Two, there’s workout equipment and showers. Lots of merch available too! But most importantly, a great gym culture here. I will be back soon. 10th Planet Poway is the place to be if you want to focus on no-gi Jiu Jitsu. I've focused on gi for most of my Jui Jitsu training and earlier this year I made the switch to full-time no-gi. One of the things that makes 10th Planet Poway special is our relationship with Poway High Wrestling, the top wrestling program in California. Kevin does a great job of incorporating wrestling into our Jiu Jitsu training which is key in no-gi training. Been training here for about 4 years now. Been grappling for over 10 years. Been a member at several gyms from all over and this the spot. 10th Planet Poway has the best mix of all styles of grapplers I’ve seen- wrestlers, lockdown pros, guard pullers, leg lockers, wristlockers, you name it. You’re going to learn it all. Kevin has the most creative style I’ve seen and while the competitors are some of the best in the area, there’s a spot for hobbyists like me that just like to do a local competition every year or so as well.... read more
