This company charges even though it’s listed u see free file and I met the criteria posted on the website. Additionally I checked after a week and my return showed accepted by IRS. Checked IRS this year and it said never received. I look online after months of the site being down and now it shows rejected after a year for some reason about pins not matching.
I was totally disappointed with the service. Leaves you wondering if you did your taxes right. I had to file a Schedule C for a small job I did for a local company. I had to amend my original submission to include this form and even though I completed the amendment within an hour or so and my original Efile did not say accepted I am not sure if the amendment got sent or not. In addition they charged me 9.95 for the amended return. I would be very hesitant to use this service again.
Within 48 hours of registering with 1040now.com, my email inbox started filling up with spam of every description. Perhaps it's a business plan priority for them to sell email addresses of all enrolled persons to spammers? I had completed about half of my 2019 1040 entry when it became apparent that their software was pathetic, so I deleted the return, but was unable to find any means of deleting my login credentials. Avoid this phishing scheme at all costs.

This is extremely misleading. The IRS site says that filing is free if your income in below a certain level. The 1040NOW site says that filing is free. After entering all your information, you find out that it is not free at all - there is a $20 e-filing fee. If you don't want to e-file, it's still $20 to access the return you just completed so that you can print it. This is simply unacceptable. Do not use this service and complain loudly. In order to receive a free file return, an account must be created from the link from IRS free file web page. Please send us an email to support@1040now.com. We will investigate whether your account was indeed created from the authorized IRS web site link. Also, you must meet our free file offer in order to receive a free file return. The IRS has continuously reviewed to approve our web site. However, we understand that there could be isolated case, and as a courtesy, we do waive your filing fee.
Successfully filed my Federal and State Income Tax in 1 hour. Simple steps, easy navigation. Printed all submitted tax documents. Prices are reasonable. Do not recommend filing your income tax for FREE or cheap price! FYI I have been filing my income tax with this software for the past 4 years. Highly recommend www.1040now.net to file your income tax.

This company is listed on IRS website. Don't use it. They say it is free, but they charged me for the service. I will stop payment on the credit card charge. The software is very difficult to use and unfriendly. It has bugs that change data without the users' knowledge. It is extremely difficult to correct errors or make changes. I have no confidence that my return was done correctly. Use TurboTax instead of this inferior product.
I filed my taxes using this software, but now I cannot get any information about my filing or refund status. They did promptly charge me their filing fee !!!!!
If you want your tax prep to be horrible use this company. BTW they charge for state return even for low income so. NOT FREE
